KZN MUSIC HOUSE CELEBRATING FIRST BIRTHDAY

KZN Music House Celebrates First Birthday

 
 
KZN Music House, officially launched last year, will present a special First Birthday Concert at The Playhouse from Thursday 31 March to Saturday 2 April 2011.
Devised and directed by Mbongeni Ngema, this special concert programme will feature a star line-up of artists from KZN Music House's roster, headed by Mr Ngema himself.
Artists set to appear in the show include Mfiliseni Magubane, Natalie Rungan, Bullistic, Sosha, Chaos, Mgarimbe, Matshitshi Ngema, Vusi Mahlanze, with Simphiwe Madela and Afro Soul. Look out for special appearances on 1 April only by Mandoza and Zakes Bantwini.
MEC Michael Mabuyakhulu will deliver the keynote address at a special First Birthday function for invited guests, to be held at KZN Music House on 1 April at 2.30pm for 3pm. The occasion will mark the launch of a new in-house music shop, situated on the premises of KZN Music House. The event will also mark the launch of a new KZN Music House audio disc entitled Vezikhono Maskandi Compilation Volume 1. Six groups of Maskandi artists featured on this compilation CD will perform at the launch function. They are Amajili, iMpunyela, Abafana Bemvuselelo, Oqedukuhleka, Cupha Noxolo, Thula Sibone Nolusese.
Following the function at KZN Music House on 1 April, the invited guests will attend a VIP dinner at The Playhouse between 6pm and 7pm, before attending the evening's performance of the celebratory concert programme in the Opera theatre.
